Golden Vanilla Butter Cake

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 cup whole milk

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
4. Add eggs one at a time to the butter mixture, mixing well after each addition.
5. Stir in vanilla extract.
6. Alternately add flour mixture and milk to the batter, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.
7. Divide batter evenly between prepared pans.
8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
9. Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then turn out onto wire racks to cool completely.

Storage

Store covered at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.

Reheating

Reheat slices in the microwave for 15-20 seconds on medium power.
