Golden Hash Brown Casserole

A rich and creamy hash brown casserole with a golden cheese crust; perfect for breakfast or as a comforting side dish.

Ingredients

2 lbs frozen hash browns
1 can (10.75 oz) cream of chicken soup
2 cups sour cream
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup melted butter
1/4 cup chopped onions
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 cup crushed cornflakes (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, melted butter, chopped onions, salt, and black pepper.
3. Stir in hash browns and 1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese until well coated.
4. Spread mixture evenly into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
5. Sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese and crushed cornflakes (if using) on top.
6. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly with a golden crust.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat in a 350°F oven for 15-20 minutes or until heated through.
