Ingredients

4 cups frozen hash browns
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup sour cream
1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)
1/2 cup minced onion
1/4 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup crushed cornflakes
2 tablespoons melted butter (for topping)

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the hash browns, cheddar cheese, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, minced onion, melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
3. Spread the mixture evenly into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
4. In a small bowl, mix the crushed cornflakes with 2 tablespoons of melted butter. Sprinkle the cornflake mixture evenly over the casserole.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
6. Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat individual portions in the microwave for 1-2 minutes, or until heated through, or reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes.
