Glazed Ham and Cheese Croissants

Ingredients

8 crescent roll dough sheets
1 cup cooked ham, chopped
1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
1/4 cup honey
2 tbsp butter, melted
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 egg, beaten for egg wash
1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into triangles.
3. Spread a small amount of Dijon mustard on each triangle.
4. Place a few pieces of chopped ham and a sprinkle of cheese on the wider end of each triangle.
5. Roll the dough from the wide end to the point, enclosing the filling, and shape into a crescent.
6. Arrange croissants on the prepared baking sheet.
7. In a small bowl, mix honey, melted butter, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
8. Brush the croissants with the beaten egg wash, then the honey glaze mixture.
9. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top.
10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
11. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Storage

Store leftover croissants in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

To reheat, place croissants on a baking sheet and warm in a preheated oven at 300°F (150°C) for 5-7 minutes.
