Ingredients

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 large eggs
3/4 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup boiling water
8 oz dark chocolate, chopped for ganache
1 cup heavy cream for ganache

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. Add the eggs, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
4. Carefully stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth. The batter will be thin.
5. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.
