Ingredients
8 oz dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
8 oz milk chocolate
1 cup heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup brandy or liqueur (optional)

Cubes of pound cake
Pretzel rods

Instructions
1. Break the dark and milk chocolate into small pieces and place them in a heatproof bowl.
2. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Do not let it boil.
3. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate pieces and let it sit for 2 minutes to melt.
4. Stir the mixture gently until smooth and fully combined.
5. Add the vanilla extract and brandy or liqueur if using, and stir until incorporated.
6. Transfer the chocolate mixture to a fondue pot over a tea light or low flame to keep warm.
7. Arrange your dipping items on a platter and serve alongside the warm chocolate fondue.
Storage
Store any leftover chocolate fondue in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
Reheating
Gently reheat the fondue on the stove over low heat or in a microwave-safe bowl at 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and warmed through.
