Crispy Herb Butter Oysters

Ingredients

12 fresh oysters
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
1 tsp lemon zest
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper, to taste
Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Shuck the oysters, being careful to preserve the oyster liquor, and arrange them on a baking sheet.
3. In a bowl, combine the butter, garlic, parsley, dill, and lemon zest, mixing until well blended.
4. Spread about a teaspoon of the herb butter mixture over each oyster.
5. In another bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese, then sprinkle evenly over the oysters.
6. Bake the oysters in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the tops are golden and crispy.
7. Remove from the oven and season with salt and pepper to taste.
8. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Storage

Store any leftover oysters in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume within 2 days.

Reheating

To reheat, place the oysters on a baking sheet in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5-7 minutes, or until heated through.
