Creamy Dill Tuna Casserole

A hearty, comforting casserole combining succulent tuna with fresh dill and a creamy, cheesy sauce, perfect for a cozy family dinner.

Ingredients

2 cups elbow macaroni
2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
1 cup frozen peas
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon butter
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Cook the macaroni according to package directions; drain and set aside.
3. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add celery and onion, sauté until soft.
4. In a large bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, sour cream, cheddar cheese, dill, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
5. Stir in cooked macaroni, tuna, peas, and sautéed vegetables.
6. Transfer mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
7. In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs with olive oil and sprinkle over the casserole.
8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until heated through and the top is golden brown.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat individual portions in the microwave for 1-2 minutes or until heated through, or reheat the entire casserole in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes.
