Ingredients

1 lb breakfast sausage
6 slices of white bread
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
6 large eggs
2 cups whole milk
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup chopped green onions

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
2. In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain and set aside.
3. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and layer the slices of bread at the bottom.
4. Evenly distribute the cooked sausage over the bread.
5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the sausage.
6. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
7. Pour the egg mixture over the layered ingredients in the casserole dish.
8. Garnish with chopped green onions.
9. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the eggs are set.
10. Let cool slightly before serving.

Storage
