Classic Shrimp Stir Fry

This delightful shrimp stir fry combines tender shrimp with fresh vegetables and a savory sauce, making it a quick and delicious meal for any occasion.

Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup broccoli florets
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 cup snap peas
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon water
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and water to create a sauce.
2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove shrimp and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, add remaining oil, garlic, and ginger, and stir fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
4. Add broccoli, bell pepper, and snap peas to the skillet, stir fry for 4-5 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
5. Return the shrimp to the skillet, pour in the sauce, and stir well to coat everything evenly. Cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
6. Season with black pepper and serve immediately.

Storage

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Reheating

To reheat, warm in a skillet over medium heat until heated through, adding a splash of water if necessary.
