Classic Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo

Ingredients
12 oz fettuccine pasta
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 tbsp unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Gradually stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
6. Add cooked fettuccine and shrimp into the sauce, gently tossing to combine.
7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Storage
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
To reheat, place in a skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally until heated through. Add a splash of cream or milk if the sauce is too thick.
