Classic Morning Casserole

Ingredients
1 lb breakfast sausage
8 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
4 cups cubed day-old bread
1/4 cup chopped green onions
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and crumbled. Drain excess grease.
3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
4. Add the cooked sausage, cheese, bread cubes, and green onions to the egg mixture and stir to combine.
5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
7. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Storage
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
