Ingredients
1 French baguette
4 oz cream cheese, softened
4 oz smoked salmon
1/2 cup cucumber, thinly sliced
1/4 cup capers
1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped
1/4 cup roasted red peppers, chopped
1 tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. Slice the baguette into 1/4 inch rounds and arrange on a baking sheet.
3. Drizzle the baguette slices with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
4. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
5. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on each crostini.
6. Top half of the crostini with a slice of smoked salmon and a sprig of dill.
7. Top the remaining crostini with cucumber slices, roasted red peppers, and capers.
8. Arrange on a serving platter and serve immediately.
Storage
Store leftover canapés in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Reheating
Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F for 5 minutes to revive the crispiness of the crostini.
