Classic Glazed Ham

A timeless glazed ham recipe featuring a sweet and savory crust, perfect for holiday gatherings or family dinners.

Ingredients

1 fully cooked bone-in ham (about 10 lbs)
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup Dijon mustard
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Whole cloves for studding, optional

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
2. Place the ham in a large roasting pan, fat side up.
3. In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg until smooth.
4. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern and stud with whole cloves if using.
5. Brush half of the glaze over the ham.
6. Cover the ham loosely with foil and bake for 1.5 hours.
7. Remove the foil, brush with remaining glaze, and bake for another 30 minutes until the glaze is caramelized.
8. Let the ham rest for 10 minutes before carving and serving.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Reheating

Reheat slices in a microwave or covered in an oven at 300°F until warmed through.
