Classic Cream Cheese Chicken

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
8 oz cream cheese
1 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried basil
1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.
3. Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant.
4. Add chicken breasts, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned on both sides.
5. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, heavy cream, thyme, basil, and lemon juice.
6. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the chicken in the skillet.
7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
8. Remove from oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat gently in a skillet over low heat or in the microwave until warmed through.
