Classic Chicken Casserole
A delicious and comforting classic chicken casserole that makes use of leftover chicken, ideal for a hearty family meal.

Ingredients
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
1 cup frozen peas
1 cup diced carrots
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup crushed buttery crackers
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, peas, carrots, mushrooms, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
3. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
4. In a small bowl, mix the crushed buttery crackers with the melted butter and sprinkle over the casserole.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the casserole is heated through.
Storage
Allow the casserole to cool completely before transferring to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
To reheat, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and bake for 15-20 minutes or until heated through.
