Classic Broccoli Chicken Casserole

Ingredients

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
1 head broccoli, cut into florets
1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup crushed buttery crackers
2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large pot of boiling water, briefly cook the broccoli florets, about 2-3 minutes, then drain and set aside.
3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, condensed cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
4. Fold in the broccoli florets and mix until evenly coated.
5. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
7. In a small bowl, combine the crushed buttery crackers and melted butter, then sprinkle over the cheese layer.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is heated through.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat individual portions in the microwave for 1-2 minutes or until heated through.
