Classic Beef and Broccoli

Classic Beef and Broccoli is a savory and satisfying dish featuring tender beef strips and crisp broccoli florets in a flavorful soy-based sauce, perfect for a quick and delicious dinner.

Ingredients

1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
2 cups broccoli florets
2 tbsp vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 cup water
1 tsp sesame oil
1/4 tsp black pepper
Cooked white rice for serving

Instructions

1. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, water, and sesame oil. Set aside.
2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Add the beef slices, season with black pepper, and stir-fry until browned. Remove and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, add the remaining oil and stir-fry the garlic for 30 seconds.
5. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until vibrant green and tender-crisp.
6. Return the beef to the skillet.
7. Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and broccoli, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens and coats the ingredients evenly.
8. Serve hot over cooked white rice.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat in a skillet over medium heat until warmed through. Add a splash of water if needed.
