Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2-3 bananas)
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup buttermilk
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
4. Mix in the mashed bananas until well blended.
5. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; add to the banana mixture alternately with the buttermilk.
6. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
7. Bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
8. Allow to cool in the pan before serving.
