Ingredients
4 large apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 cup unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
1/2 cup apple cider or water
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Core the apples using an apple corer or paring knife, ensuring not to cut all the way through.
3. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, walnuts, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
4. Stuff the mixture into the hollowed cores of the apples.
5. Place the apples in a baking dish and dot with butter pieces.
6. Pour apple cider or water into the bottom of the dish.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the apples are tender.
