Cinnamon Swirl Delight

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup milk
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup light brown sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 pinch of salt
Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
2. In a large bowl, mix together 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
3. Incorporate the softened butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract into the dry mixture until smooth.
4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
5. In a separate bowl, combine the light brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Stir in the melted butter until well blended.
6. Drop spoonfuls of the cinnamon mixture over the cake batter and use a knife to create swirls.
7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
8. While the cake is baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
9. Once the cake is done, drizzle the glaze over the warm cake.
10. Let the cake cool slightly before serving.

Storage

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat individual slices in the microwave for 15-20 seconds until warm.
