Chocolate Fondant with Salted Caramel

Ingredients

4 oz bittersweet chocolate
1/2 cup unsalted butter
3/4 cup powdered sugar
2 large eggs
2 large egg yolks
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup caramel sauce
1/2 tsp sea salt

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 425°F. Grease and flour four ramekins.
2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate and butter together in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
3. Stir in powdered sugar until combined.
4. Whisk in eggs and egg yolks until fully incorporated.
5. Fold in flour until the batter is smooth.
6. Divide half the batter among the ramekins. Spoon a tablespoon of salted caramel into the center of each.
7. Cover with remaining batter.
8. Bake for 12-14 minutes until the edges are firm and the center is soft.
9. Let stand for 1 minute, then invert onto serving plates and serve immediately.

Storage

Store any leftover fondants wrapped in plastic wrap in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Reheating

Reheat fondants in the microwave for 30 seconds or until warm.
