Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
6. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
7. Spread the cookie dough into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
9. Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into bars to serve.

Storage

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
