1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Optional: 1/4 cup chopped roasted peanuts for garnish

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, sugar, and egg until smooth.
3. Stir in vanilla extract, followed by the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
4. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
5. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
6. Flatten each cookie slightly with a fork, creating a criss-cross pattern. Optionally, press a few chopped peanuts on top of each cookie.
7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are firm but the centers are still soft.
