Ingredients
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 large eggs
3 overripe bananas, mashed
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract.
4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture and mix until just combined.
6. Fold in the walnuts and chocolate chips.
7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
8. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
9. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Reheating
To reheat, microwave a slice for 10-15 seconds or warm in a 350°F oven for 5-10 minutes.
