Caramelized Onion and Pumpkin Pizza
This deliciously unique pizza combines sweet caramelized onions and creamy pumpkin puree, topped with melted mozzarella and aromatic fresh sage. A perfect dish that highlights the comforting and earthy flavors of fall.

Ingredients
1 tbsp olive oil
2 large onions, thinly sliced
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 pre-made pizza dough
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tbsp fresh sage, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Cornmeal for dusting
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone in the oven to heat.
2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and onions, cooking until caramelized, about 20 minutes.
3. Add balsamic vinegar and salt to the onions, stir, and cook for another 2 minutes.
4. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface, then transfer to a cornmeal-dusted pizza peel.
5. Spread pumpkin puree over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
6. Evenly distribute caramelized onions over the pumpkin puree.
7. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the onions, and scatter sage leaves on top.
8. Transfer pizza onto the heated stone and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
9. Remove from oven, slice, and serve warm.
Storage
Store leftover pizza in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
To reheat, place slices on a baking sheet in a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven for 10 minutes until warmed through.
