Caramel Pecan Apple Crisp

Ingredients

4 cups sliced apples (about 4 medium)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Toss to coat evenly.
3. Transfer the apple mixture to a greased 9x9 inch baking dish.
4. In another bowl, mix flour, oats, and brown sugar. Add cold butter cubes and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until crumbly.
5. Stir in chopped pecans.
6. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apples.
7. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top of the crisp.
8. Bake in preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and apples are tender.
9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and warm the crisp on a baking sheet for 10-15 minutes.
