Cabbage and Chicken Fat-Burning Soup

Ingredients

1 tbsp olive oil
1 medium yellow onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 cups chicken broth
2 cups water
2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
1 medium cabbage, chopped
2 large carrots, sliced
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Add onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
3. Pour in chicken broth and water, bring to a boil.
4. Add chicken, cabbage, carrots, and bell pepper.
5. Stir in salt, black pepper, paprika, thyme, and red pepper flakes.
6. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Reheating

Reheat gently on the stovetop over medium heat until heated through, about 10 minutes.
