Ingredients

1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
2 cups sauerkraut, drained
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp caraway seeds
1/2 cup apple cider
1 tbsp brown sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
2. Add sliced onions and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
3. Stir in garlic and caraway seeds; cook for an additional minute.
4. Add sliced sausage to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
5. Stir in sauerkraut, apple cider, and brown sugar; mix well.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Cover and let simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
8. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Storage
