Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 25 minutes
Serves: 4

Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops (approximately 1-inch thick)
2 tbsp olive oil
2 apples, cored and sliced
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup chicken broth
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp fresh sage, finely chopped
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 tbsp butter

Instructions

1. Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and black pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, add sliced onions and cook until translucent, about 3 minutes.
4. Add garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
5. Stir in apple slices and cook for 2 minutes until slightly softened.
6. Pour in chicken broth and apple cider vinegar, bringing the mixture to a simmer.
7. Return pork chops to the skillet, sprinkle with chopped sage, and cover. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook for an additional 10-12 minutes or until pork chops are cooked through.
8. Add butter to the skillet and let it melt to create a glaze. Spoon the glaze over the pork chops and apples.
9. Serve warm, garnished with extra sage if desired.
