Ingredients
3 lbs Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, mix the apple slices with granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Spread evenly in the prepared dish.
3. In another bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt. Mix until crumbly.
4. Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apples.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender when pierced with a fork.
6. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Storage
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
