Apple-Cinnamon Honey Tart

Ingredients
2 lbs Granny Smith apples, peeled cored and sliced
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
1/4 cup cold water
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 egg, beaten
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the diced butter and use a pastry cutter to blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
3. Stir in the cold water, a tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together.
4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and fit it into a 9-inch tart pan; trim excess dough.
5. In another bowl, toss the apple slices with lemon juice, honey, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
6. Arrange the apple mixture evenly over the crust.
7. Brush the edges of the crust with the beaten egg to ensure a golden finish.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the apples are tender and the crust is golden brown.
9. Let cool before slicing and serving.
Storage
Store the tart in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
Reheating
Reheat slices in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes or until warmed through.
